ACTING COACH

Born and raised in Switzerland, Anna Katarina moved to New York after seeing the movies  Dog Day Afternoon  with Al Pacino and  Lenny  with Dustin Hoffman in cinemas in her hometown of Bern. Deeply struck by the truthfulness and personal connection of these performances, Anna decided to come to the United States to study "where they had studied."

Her teachers include Uta Hagen, Herbert Berghof, Mira Rostova and Tom Todoroff.

Anna quickly began to find work as an actor and had the pleasure and fortune of performing opposite many great talents such as Michael Douglas, Delroy Lindo, Bernadette Peters, Danny DeVito, Christopher Walken, Tom Hanks, Kevin Kline, Rutger Hauer, Kelly MacDonald, Steve Buscemi, and most recently Sharon Stone.

She has been directed by David Fincher, Tim Burton, James Ivory, Ron Howard,  J. J. Abrams, Bill Bixby, Brad Anderson, Tim Van Patten, Michael Pressman, Peter O'Fallon and many more.

To give life and truthful expression to texts, scenes  and characters is a never ending passion for Anna. She remains deeply inspired by the fact that there is simply no end to the discoveries and explorations one can make about any given character in any given situation.
